Indian Fry Bread

2 cups of  flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup of shortening
6 tablespoons of warm water
Sugar
Cinnamon sugar

Mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the shortening and enough water to make a soft dough. Knead with a floured hand until the dough has some "spring". Roll out about 1/4 inch thick. Cut in squares about 2 x 2 inches and fry in deep fat. Sprinkle warm fry bread with plain or cinnamon sugar.
