Indian Fry Bread

2 cups of flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
2 tablespoons of lard
1/3 cup of powdered milk
1 teaspoon of salt
3/4 cup of warm water
Oil for frying

Mix all but lard and water. Add 1 tablespoon of lard. Cut in until crumbly. Add water and mix until soft dough forms.& Knead until smooth and springy in texture. Make into 12 balls. Melt the other tablespoon of lard and brush each ball.  Set aside for 30 to 45 minutes. On a lightly floured board roll each ball into a 4 inch circle. Poke a hole in center. Fry in oil at 365ºF. until lightly browned, turning once. Serve with butter or honey
