| Indian Corn Bread
1 cup of enriched cornmeal 1 cup of flour (all-purpose) 1 cup of milk 2 tablespoons of sugar (optional) 1 egg, beaten 1/4 cup of vegetable oil or melted margarine 4 teaspoons of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon of salt |

Combine all ingredients. Pour batter into greased pan (8 inch or 9 inch square). Bake at 425ºF. for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Makes 8 servings. |
