| Navajo Indian Bread
4 cups of non-sifted flour 3 teaspoons of baking powder 1 teaspoon of salt 1 1/2 cup of water
Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Form dough into small balls and roll out in thin strips. Surface and roller should be floured. Cut 2 long stripes into and through the flattened oval of dough. Fry in small amount of hot grease until brown. Cool on brown paper bag. Salt if desired. |
