Applesauce Chocolate Cake

2 cups of flour
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon of soda
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of cocoa
Dash of salt
2 cups of applesauce
1/2 cup of salad oil
2 eggs
Chocolate chips
Nuts, chopped

Grease and flour a 9"x13" pan. Sift together all dry ingredients. Lightly beat egg, add oil and applesauce. Add dry ingredients to egg mixture. Pour into pan and top with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350ºF.  for 40 minutes. 

Chocolate Chip Applesauce cake

1/2 cup of oil
1 1/2 cups of sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of applesauce
1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
3 tablespoons of cocoa
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 cup of chopped nuts
1 cup of chocolate pieces

Mix oil and 1 1/2 cups sugar; beat in eggs. Stir in flour, cinnamon, salt, applesauce, baking soda, and cocoa. Pour mixture into a greased and floured 9x13x2 inch pan. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar, nuts, and chocolate pieces. This can be lightly stirred in or left on top. Bake at 350ºF. 30 to 40 minutes. Cover with foil if top becomes too brown. Serve with whipped topping, if you like. 

Chocolate Applesauce Cake

1 box Duncan Hines devil's food cake mix
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup of water
16 ounces of applesauce
1 cup of raisins
2 teaspoons of cinnamon

Add water and eggs to cake mix, beat. Add applesauce, raisins and cinnamon. Mix. Bake in 9 x 13 pan 30 to 40 minutes at 350ºF. Cool and frost with any chocolate frosting.
