| Raw Applesauce Cake
1 1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of lard or butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup of cold black coffee
2 cups of flour
1 cup of chopped fine raw apples
1 or 1/2 cup of raisins
1/2 cup of nut meats
1 teaspoon of salt
1 rounding teaspoon of soda
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Little cloves |

Cream sugar, salt, shortening and salt. Add coffee, apples, raisins and nut meats. Mix soda, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon in flour before adding to rest of mixture. Bake at 350ºF. for 30 minutes or until done. |
