| Milk Gravy
2 tablespoons of flour 1 tablespoon of bacon grease 1 cup of milk Salt & pepper to taste
In hot skillet, stir in grease, flour, salt and pepper. Cook over medium-high heat; add milk and stir until mixture boils. *For thinner gravy increase milk, for thicker decrease milk. |

Milk Gravy 2
1/2 cup of Crisco or meat drippings 1/2 cup of self-rising flour 2 cups of milk Salt and pepper
Use meat drippings or melt 1/2 cup Crisco into a large skillet. Pour 1/2 cup flour with salt and pepper. Cook on medium heat until flour is mixed well with Crisco and browned. Gradually mix in 2 cups of milk. Turn on low heat and stir until thick. Milk Gravy 3
Use hot drippings from chicken or pork chops. For each 3 tablespoons of drippings, stir in 3 tablespoons of flour and blend well. Cook and stir until lightly browned. Gradually add 1 1/2 to 2 cups hot milk. Cook and stir until thickened. |
